History of the Presbyterian Schools in Belize
(Adapted from history written by Mrs. Helen Lacey in 2002)
In 1976, the Presbyterian Day School (PDS) was the Church's first school in Belize. Located in Cristo Rey village, PDS has provided quality Christian education for almost 40 years. More recently, the Presbyterian School in Concepcion village was built with the assistance of Mission to the World (MTW). New Life Presbyterian School in Orange Walk followed and then Cornerstone Presbyterian High School. Unity Presbyterian Church in Belize City founded a primary school in 2010. Pre-schools are operating at the churches in San Narciso, San Pablo and Santa Elena.
